Hi friends! I recently finished The Midnight Feast by Lucy Foley, and here are my thoughts.
Local lore, and childhood tales come full circle in this book. The stories that chilled as a child come back to the forefront as an adult.
Bella and Frankie used to be friends. Until Frankie and her family do something that will forge a path in the lives of many others in ways they couldn’t have foreseen. (Or maybe they could, but didn’t care.)
The woods and the Birds add to the haunting feel that surrounds the pages of this book.
The Midnight Feast shook me because Lucy Foley entwined each character to each other in ways that I did not see coming.
The story is told in multiple timelines, jumping forward, and back, and even 15 years ago, also with different points of view so you can really feel the novel unwrap itself.
If you love a twisted story that intertwines multiple plot lines and time lines, and keeps you guessing until the end, I think you’ll like this book.
