I’m just giving an update to say that I did not last a week off of social media, but I did last 3 days. So that’s something.

I think the biggest key for me is going to be setting healthy boundaries. I’m going to leave it at that.

Hi friends! The question for today is whether or not I actually have the discipline to take a total blackout break from social media.

I’ve been on social media continuously since the MySpace days, (yes, I’m old), never taking any time away.

The issue is that I get FOMO, like really bad. I’m so nosy that I constantly want to know what other people are up to.

So, with all that being said, I’m going to state it here first. I’m taking a hiatus from social media. This blog will be my only outlet for all the goings on in my life, and I’m going to try to get used to not needing to know the ins and outs of everyone else’s life.

At this point, it’s basically an addiction so I know that it won’t be easy because it’s so easy to fall back into bad habits. But let’s see how it goes. I’m pledging one week from right now. It’s 7:30 on the morning of Wednesday, October 9.

To help me, I’ve set the timer on my phone to not allow me any social media access.

Here goes nothing. 🌴
