Hey friends! I am back this week with sermon notes from Elevation Church. This week’s message was titled I Can’t Stay Here and was given by guest Pastor Earl McClellan.
Please remember these are not my own thoughts, simply the notes that I took while listening.
Be sure to leave a comment below with your favorite takeaway from this sermon.
I’ve also linked the bible verses if you’d like to read those.
As always, thank you for taking the time to drop by today. See you soon!
Sermon Notes : I Can’t Stay Here
- It’s possible for something to be interesting but not moving, essential but not personal, informational but not transformational.
- Colossians 1:15-16
- 2 Kings 7:3-4
- It’s nice to be in a good place.
- If you stop growing even a good place can become a grave.
- Don’t get stuck in a good place trying to protect it.
- Where’d my fire and energy go?
- If I stay in this same spot, thinking the same way, and doing the same thing, it will bring me to death.
- Don’t get hung up on what you can’t do, think about what you can do.
- Where can you go?
- What do you have?
- What can do you?
- You can’t stay here thinking everyone’s against you…
- Never giving, praying or serving.
- 2 Kings 7:5-9
- They got up and took a step here, and God did a miracle over there.
- We want to see it, but…
- You don’t get to see it unless you take a step.
- What step is God asking you to take that you’re not taking because you think the step is dumb, that you don’t have the resources or education?
- Take the step.
- God did something with something small but he turned it into something great.
- Abundance of blessings.
- How can I keep this to myself?
- Bad things when kept secret tend to grow, good things when you keep them secret sometimes tend to lose their power.
- We have to share it.
- What will the ripple effect of your step be?
- Maybe the wrestle you have in you that you think is just about you…there’s someone on the other side of that.
- I can’t stay here.
- Ezekiel 2:2;3:24; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:1-4;14-17
